Art Bird Cards
A set of 36 water-resistant stock 4″ x 6″ cards with pictures and descriptions of some of the most common birds from Southwestern BC. The descriptions are in simple, easy-to-read text. Individual cards describe each bird’s appearance, habitat, and additional interesting notes. The cards also introduce important scientific description terms. The pictures are artworks produced by Vancouver Island and area artists.
This was a community-building project designed to unite artists and naturalists in their shared love of the natural world. It was jointly produced by the Metchosin ArtPod Collective, the Metchosin Foundation, and Rocky Point Bird Observatory.
