RPBO's Victoria Bird Week is a week-long celebration of migration monitoring, research, and education in the Birding Capital of Canada.

RPBO's Victoria Bird Week | May 10–17, 2026.

Rocky Point Bird Observatory (RPBO) is excited to present Victoria Bird Week, running May 10–17, 2026, following a community celebration of World Migratory Bird Day on May 9. Together, these events celebrate migration monitoring, research, and education in the Birding Capital of Canada, while inviting people of all ages and experience levels to connect with birds and with one another.

Victoria Bird Week is a week-long celebration designed to provide engaging experiences, meaningful education, and opportunities to learn about birds, migration, and the challenges birds face—while strengthening our vibrant birding community.

Throughout the week, RPBO offers a wide range of fun and informative activities, including guided bird walks, online and in-person presentations, bird trivia events, courses to help you become a better birder, and unique birding experiences. Community favourites like the ever-popular Scream Like a Gull Contest return, alongside plenty of other delightfully birdy happenings.

RPBO gratefully thanks our many community supporters for being part of Victoria Bird Week year after year. Your encouragement and partnership make this annual celebration of birds, science, and community possible.
